Roy Lee Turman was born to the late Fate and
Rosa Lee Goldsmith on September 18, 1930 in Greenwood,
South Carolina. He attended school in the south.
Roy later joined the United States Army where he earned several
medals of achievement.
Roy was a kind, generous, dependable and a diligent worker in
all that he did. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation in 1982, after
thirty-two years in the automotive industry.
Roy had three children; Raymond Hudson (who preceded him in
death), Lamar and Tyrone; and eight grandchildren to cherish his
memories.
