| Obituary: |
The sun shined to the union of the late Charlie J. Smith and
Minnie L. Allen, with the birth of a beautiful baby girl, Hellen Louise
Allen, on November 14, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Hellen, or as lovingly nicknamed by her friends “HellCat”,
received her education in the Michigan School District. She also accepted
JESUS in her life in Mobile, Alabama in 2004, during a brief visit.
Hellen was a “FREE SPIRIT”, who loved life and people She
made you feel as if you were a friend regardless of whether you had just
met her or not. She was a gentle and loving spirit and would give you the
shirt off her back.
On the morning of February 23, 2010, in her home after a brief
battle with cancer, along with having had a stoke in 2004, the Lord called
Hellen home and said, come, rest My child, you don’t have to hurt or fight
anymore.
Louise leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and VERY
devoted son, Terrance “Terry” Maurice Allen; one sister, Norma J. Allen
of Mobile, Alabama; three step-sisters: Arlinda New, Deyonne Smith and
Uneil Smith; one step-brother, Anthony Smith all of Detroit, Michigan;
one uncle, Dan (Amanda) Allen of Washington, DC; one aunt, Velena P.
Grant of Atlanta, Georgia; a special cousin, Evelyn Allen of Mobile,
Alabama; and an EXTREMELY devoted friend and caregiver, Delois
“Lois” Barks of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of cousins, nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends.
